SALTED TRIPS

WHO THE HELL AM I?

The first thing that you need to know is that I don't take myself too seriously. I also like long stories, silly jokes, and I strongly believe that life should be taken with a pinch of salt

Like a lot of dive professionals, I was fully submerged in a corporate career (in my case, in the translation industry in Switzerland) until one happy day I came across a cylinder of compressed air. It was on the north coast of Bali, in a little town called Lovina. Not the most likely place to sign up for an Open Water course, but it turned out that those first few fin kicks were about to change my life completely. I would soon begin a professional diving career and never go back to my corporate life.

Over the past few years, I have lived mostly on the road, travelling and working in places like Komodo, Bunaken, Amed, Nusa Lembongan, Thailand, Galápagos, Japan, Mexico, Cuba, the Maldives, Malta, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the Bay Islands, Egypt, the Canary Islands... Along the way, I logged over two thousand dives and went from a newbie Open Water diver to a proud PADI IDC Staff Instructor - and there is still a long road ahead.

Travelling runs through my veins. I took my first solo trip in 2005 at the tender age of 16, and I haven't stopped globetrotting since. This, coupled with my passion for diving, left me without a choice: I had to start a travel agency focused on scuba diving. And so Salted Trips was born. The central concept is to offer carefully curated dive expeditions to top destinations across the globe in small groups of adventure-seeking ocean lovers. More on the company's vission and mission here.
